NXT Horizon Privacy Policy

NXT Horizon (“NXT Horizon”, “we”, “us” or “our”) is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store and protect information about you when you visit our website, contact us, or engage our services, and sets out your rights under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the EU GDPR and other applicable data-protection laws.

This policy should be read alongside our Cookie Notice and Terms of Use.

1. Who we are (Data Controller)

NXT Horizon is the data controller responsible for your personal data. For any privacy matter, including to exercise your rights, you can contact us at privacy@nxthorizon.ai. Where required, our appointed contact for data-protection queries can be reached at the same address.

NXT Horizon is not required under Article 37 UK GDPR to appoint a Data Protection Officer. Our privacy team can be reached at privacy@nxthorizon.ai for any data protection query.

2. The personal data we collect

  • Information you give us — such as your name, company, job role, email address, telephone number and the content of any message or enquiry you submit through our forms.
  • Diagnostic tool data — when you use our “Find your starting point” diagnostic, we collect the responses and organisational details you provide, in order to generate an indicative output for you. See Section 4 below for how this is used.
  • Technical and usage data — such as IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited and interactions, collected via cookies and similar technologies (see our Cookie Notice).
  • Engagement data — information exchanged in the course of delivering our services to you or your organisation.
  • Data from other sources — we may also receive information about you from [third-party business databases / referral partners / event organisers], which we combine with the data above.

3. How and why we use your data (lawful bases)

We only process your personal data where we have a lawful basis to do so under Article 6 of the UK GDPR:

  • Consent — where you have opted in, for example to receive marketing communications or to allow non-essential cookies. You may withdraw consent at any time.
  • Legitimate interests — to respond to enquiries, operate and improve our website and services, and pursue business development, balanced against your rights and interests.
  • Contract — to take steps at your request before entering into, and to perform, a contract for our services.
  • Legal obligation — to comply with applicable laws, regulations and lawful requests.

4. The diagnostic tool

Our “Find your starting point” diagnostic generates an indicative output based on the answers you provide.

5. Marketing

Where we send you marketing communications, we do so only with your consent or on another lawful basis. Every marketing email includes an option to unsubscribe, and you can opt out at any time by contacting us.

6. Sharing your data

We operate across multiple countries, and personal data may be transferred to, and accessed from, jurisdictions other than the one in which it was originally collected, in the course of providing our services.

Transfers to countries recognized as providing an adequate level of data protection take place without additional safeguards.

Transfers to other countries are made under an approved transfer mechanism, such as standard contractual clauses or an equivalent data transfer agreement, together with a transfer risk assessment where required.

Where a recipient is certified under a recognized cross-border data protection or privacy framework, transfers may instead rely on that certification.

A copy of the relevant safeguard is available on request at privacy@nxthorizon.ai.

7. International transfers

NXT Horizon operates across the United Kingdom, United Arab Emirates, United States and South Africa. Where personal data is transferred outside the UK or EEA, we ensure an appropriate safeguard is in place, such as an adequacy decision or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement / EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

8. Data retention

We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, to satisfy legal, accounting or reporting requirements, and thereafter securely delete or anonymise it. Enquiry data is typically retained for up to 24 months from your last contact unless a longer period is required.

9. How we protect your data

We maintain appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, alteration or disclosure, and we limit access to those who need it to do their job.

10. Your rights

Under the UK GDPR and EU GDPR you have the right to:

  • be informed about how your data is used;
  • access the personal data we hold about you;
  • request rectification of inaccurate or incomplete data;
  • request erasure of your data (“the right to be forgotten”);
  • restrict or object to our processing of your data;
  • data portability, to receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format;
  • withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent;
  • lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — in the UK, the
    Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).If you are based in the EEA, you may also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@nxthorizon.ai. We will respond within one month, as required by law.
